This is a passive radar test system using dielectric waveguide, with less frequency dependence, less insertion loss compared with metal waveguide.
The feature enables more efficient and effective radar target simulation.
Three types are available: one for 79 GHz, one for 76.5 GHz, and one for 24 GHz.
• The propagation mode is TEM mode, and there is little frequency response in the delay time.
• Compared to metal waveguides, the insertion loss is low, and the desired radar cross section can be achieved even with a low-gain antenna.
• Desired radar cross section can be achieved even with a low gain antenna.
• The antenna can be made smaller than the metal waveguide method, so unwanted reflections from the antenna can be reduced.
• The delay line section is non-metallic, and unwanted reflections from the delay line section, which adversely affect the radar, are small.
• No moving part, fewer failures.
• No operation required, it is ideal for assembly lines of automobiles equipped with millimeter wave radar.
