Lens focus type reflection attenuation amount measurement system

Focus millimeter wave by a lens and irradiate a measurement sample with it, you can measure reflection amount accurately.
There are 2 types of this system. S11 type : to measure reflected wave amount from transmitting point to the same point.
S21 type : to measure reflected wave amount from transmitting point obliquely to the other receiving point.
Minimum focused diameter(spot diameter) is about twice the wavelength.

The reason for its high accuracy
• Because of the free space between a horn antenna and a lens, unnecessary reflection won't occur and a disturbance of the phase also won't occur.
• Spot diameter can be changed by changing positions of a horn antenna backward and forward.
