Indoor autonomous vehicle test system Model No. ATS

OTA(Over-The-Air) Test System in EMC environment for Connected and Autometed Vehicle

    Model No. ATS03

    Feature

As for the trend of automated vehicles, vehicles equipped with ADAS and network connection systems are becoming the mainstream.

In other words, ADAS is required to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle and other vehicles by making driving decisions based on information collected not only from the radar and cameras mounted inside the vehicle, but also from outside the vehicle through the network, and by transmitting information about the vehicle's operation to outside the vehicle.

Keycom also develops and provides EMC test systems that are compatible with network connection systems.

Overview of the network connection system for automated vehicles

    • The network connectivity system consists of vehicles, base stations, cloud, etc.
As shown in the following figure, information is exchanged between vehicles (VtoV), between vehicles and roadside equipment (VtoI), and between vehicles and the cloud using wireless communication technology.
Since these communications are carried out via wireless communication, the Over-The-Air (OTA) method is essential for EMC testing to confirm the operation of communication devices and to improve problems through wireless communication experiments.

OTA testing of network system in EMC environment

    • The EMC test environment for the network connection system is shown in the following figure.
The test vehicle has a satellite antenna and a communication antenna. The upper part of the figure shows the signal generator and its antenna for performing various tests.
For the purpose of measuring the received signal disturbance caused by the EMC test, we built a system to measure mainly the error rate.
Although the main focus of the test is on immunity testing, an antenna for emissions is also provided so that noise generated by the vehicle can also be measured.
